Miina Rikka

Doctoral student

During my PhD I study the effect of environment on mire and freshwater bryophytes' dark diversity. I aim to find out what are the determinants of bryophyte dark diversity in freshwater, how different species respond to changes in the environment, and which factors help to maintain bryophyte diversity in mire and freshwater communities. I use data from Estonia as well as from the springs in the Teutoburg Forest in Germany. My supervisor is Nele Ingerpuu.
