Dr. Junichi Fujinuma

Research Fellow in Macroecology

Since finishing my graduate studies, I have been broadening my focus from population to community and from fundamental to conservation ecology, also shifting my view from the East Asian tropics to the globe. In my post-doctoral project in the Macroecology workgroup, I am interested in the components and properties of dark diversity. I am developing a model to give insight into the principles governing local extinctions, and to identify the species and sites that need the most protection to prevent biodiversity loss.
