We had our workgroup spring seminar in Laelatu field station on 18th-19th April. This time, the topic of the seminar was 'Data science and data in macroecology' and from our workgroup Meelis, Carlos, Juni, Diego and Kersti talked about different data science approaches. In addition, we were happy to have Karl Hendrik Tamkivi (previously our BSc student, now MSc student of data science) and Alexander Kmoch (Landscape Geoinformatics Lab in UT Department of Geography) as guest speakers. In addition to interesting presentations and discussions, we also visited spring-time Tuhu bog as well as Helme and Viljandi castle ruins.
