Research Fellow in Biodiversity Research
My research focuses on assessing the success of wetland restoration through the concept of dark diversity. Specifically, I investigate both taxonomic and functional dark diversity in plant and microbial communities in riparian wetlands. I hold a PhD from the University of Copenhagen, where I studied biodiversity, plant functional traits, and carbon cycling in wetlands. During my postdoc at Aarhus University, I worked on estimating the restoration potential of protected freshwater habitats in Natura 2000 sites across the EU.
