On 6th of September, Slendy Rodríguez-Alarcón successfully defended her thesis "Intraspecific trait diversity in plants: characterizing effects of trait variation on community assembly and ecosystem functioning" and was awarded with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Botany and Mycology. Dr. Mar Sobral from the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain acted as the oponent and helped to lead the interesting discussion. Slendy was supervised by Carlos Pérez Carmona and Riin Tamme.
