Enrico participated in the InvaPact II workshop

05.10.2024

From September 30th to October 4th Enrico was in Paris for InvaPact II, a workshop aimed to implement a standardized metric, first devised during InvaPact I, to measure the consequences of biological invasions across various ecosystems and species. The workshop will span three weeks in total and takes place at the Institut Pascal at the University Paris Saclay, which is equipped with ample amenities to support a productive and collaborative atmosphere. The workshop gathered together more than 50 researchers from across the world and with different expertise and career stages. InvaPact II is held in the context of the finalization of InvaPact, the first global, comprehensive database on published ecological impacts of biological invasions. This new phase of the project builds on the foundation of InvaCost, which focuses on the economic costs of invasions and features an extensive database compiled from a vast array of studies.
