The Laelatu Academy is a seminar and think tank for students that is organised by the Botany department every spring and autumn. High school and university students can get together to discuss about natural sciences, nature conservation and human society. The 7th Laelatu Academy took place on 15th-16th October in Laelatu field station, and there were presentations by Tiit Maran (director of Tallinn Zoo), Pihel Kuusk (legal advisor of Supreme Court of Estonia), and Kertu Birgit Anton (climate activist and law student at University of Tartu). From our workgroup, Meelis and Ene helped to guide the discussions.
