Aveliina gave a presentation titled \u2019Extinction debt of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi on declining grasslands\u2019. She was also invited to share her ideas in a panel debate \u201cThe importance of ecological science in society \u201c\u2013 Or: How can ecology and ecologists make a difference? Liis made a poster presentation about the disappearance of good dispersers from European grasslands. Liina had also a poster presentation about the winners and losers in European grasslands.<br>The theme of the conference was \u201cThe importance of ecological science in society\u201d, with a solid focus on the need for fundamental ecological science.
