In the field of geology and biology, the award was granted to\u00a0Carlos P\u00e9rez Carmona (head of the collective), Meelis P\u00e4rtel,\u00a0Riin Tamme, and\u00a0Aur\u00e8le \u00c9ric Toussaint\u00a0for their series of works \u201cGlobal view of the functional diversity of different taxonomic groups\u201d.\u00a0On 21st February, the award ceremony took place in the Estonian Academy of Sciences in Tallinn, where Carlos, Meelis and Riin also participated.
