This year, conference presentations introduced\u00a0research collaboration\u00a0topics at the Center of Excellence. From our workgroup Riin and Meelis presented their recent collaboration studies. Riin talked about the global macroecology of nitrogen-fixing plants (the study was published in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/full\/10.1111\/geb.13236\" target=\"_blank\">Global Ecology and Biogeography<\/a> earlier this year), and Meelis gave an overview of the 'Tartu - city of good microbes' project that explores the soil biodiversity of urban areas in Tartu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our workgroup is part of the EcolChange Centre of Excellence in\u00a0Research and therefore we participated in the EcolChange annual conference 2021 on 26th November.
